Wednesday Wipeout - NEW DAY

To be completely honest, I want to move the Wipeout for my own selfish reasons. I really want to be able to attend the Wednesday Night Hill Ride out of Bates City BBQ on Wednesday nights throughout the summer. And in order to facilitate that, I need to move the Wipeout to another night of the week. Kirk and I talked about it, and he has agreed to move the workout to Monday nights.
So, starting April 2, the Wipout will be on Monday nights. We will continue at the current location until the weather is nice enough, and it is light enough to try them outside. That will be discussed and communicated at a later date. Just be aware that Wednesday night will be discontinued for the foreseeable future.

Thank you for your understanding.

    Monday Massacre (too much?)

  3. Monday night is fine with me too. I will probably cancel my Monday Night Recovery Ride, no one else seems to be able to make it as well. I don't know if I will always workout on Mondays though, especially after a race on Sunday, we'll see. I will probably either take a rest day or do my own recovery ride on Mondays after a race.

I would like to keep with the strength training, especially plyometric workouts. Those will really help out with cycling. I'm not really looking to bulk up my upper body. Is there objection to moving the time up? I find 7:30 to be a little late. I never know if I should eat before or after the workout. I feel like I always end up eating too much before the 7:30 workout. Just some of my thoughts for the future planning of the workouts...I love workouts and I am noticing personal improvement. I want continue working out with everybody. I'm flexible to go along with what the majority of the group wants to do, but I will be doing the hill ride on Wednesday nights now. Once the workouts switch to Mondays I will join back up with you guys.

  4. Tyler,
While we can all agree that the 7:30 time is not ideal for eating dinner or an early bed time, the 7:30 time is critical for Kirk being able to spend as much time as possible with his family. And, to be completely honest, my priority for scheduling these workouts is to accommodate both Kirk and myself first. That may sound a little harsh, and I don't mean it to, but it's the truth. If Kirk needs a later start time, then that's that. If the group can work that in to their schedules, and be able to join us for our workouts, then that's a bonus. If not, then I hope you will take some of what you have learned over the last 3 months, and continue to workout at a place and time that suits you better. No worries.

    Mark
